How It All Began …

In late 2013, the founder of SE1, Crucifix Lane and Cable, with new partners’, took over the space that is now known as The Steel Yard. After a successful application with the City Of London to extend the weekend hours from 2am to 6am, works where carried out to restore its natural beauty of these amazing arches. Our official launch night was on the 31st October, Halloween which is a suiting tribute to the street name ‘Allhallows Lane’.

Our sound and light system will not disappoint. Some of the world’s finest Djs and live acts have already performed at the Steel Yard and are lined up to return.

With constant news of club closures, The Steel Yard is determined to continue hosting and showcasing the vast talent that our industry has to offer.

Mandy, Heller and Farley, Anja Schneider, Prins Thomas, Hot Since 82, Guti, Guy Gerber, Martin Buttrich, Andy C, Calyx and Teebee, Major Laser, Chase and Status are to name but a few of those who have graced our decks over the past, and we promise to deliver even more …..BRING IT ON!!

In a shower of unapologetic gay glamour, Gok Wan and his band of miscreants descended on the darkly chic Steel Yard for a rip-roaring premiere of a party that will hopefully become a permanent fixture on the scene.

It was totally unique, with a boisterous crowd of club kids, music moguls, scene queens, drag queens and celebs! Like the good old days, MAGAZINE has brought an exciting, shimmering and much-needed splash of frenetic colour to the city.
